  1. I use TDA 2 to create menus in DVD that I made using a JVC recorder. I figured out how to remove the audio but can't figure a way to add some music tracks back in.

Is there a way to do this with TDA?

If not what would be the easiest way to do this using another app. I'm not really concerned about the quality of the audio which would be playing in the backround.

    Thanks for any suggestions

Cut the audio to the same length as your video menu clip with fadein/outs as required
Encode the sound to 48khz mp2 in TMPGenc Free (ie use audio only button)
Then mux the new mp2 and your video in TMPGenc Free in its MPG tools menu selection .

Of course remembering to set the motion background time in TDA to the length of your menu clip or it cuts off .... he whistles pretending he hasn`t done it about a dozen times doh!

TDA is an authoring program with limited editing capabilities, as such it's not really up to this task.

I use MVW to edit the VOB's from my recorder, you can clip, add transitions and sound onto a second audio track. It will only re-encode as necessary to preserve the quality.

Or you can convert the VOB's to mpeg (Vob2mpeg) and use just about any other video editing program.
