I am copying movies (not protected) onto DVDs using a Centrios DVD recorder from my TV.
Can i get a program to install them onto my hard drive?
I have NERO, DVD Shrink & DVD Decrypter & non of them seem to work.
    Nero keeps giving me errors.
Can you install a program to copy DVDs to hard drive if you already have Nero installed?

    Thanking you in advance

Can you play the dvd on your computer without any problems?
You shouldn't need any ripping program to copy the files to your hd if it's not copy protected. But you might get problems if it's bad media or if the dvd is not finalized.

  3. All you have to do is 'drag' them, no program necessary.

...or if you plan on duplicating the original, use DVDDecrypter ISO read, then ISO write to burn copies.

I guess I am not explaining it properly ---- I place the copy into my burner but I can't find out where the files go.

Still confused RICKETS (as you can see I am still quite new at this)

    1. Put the DVDR into your DVD drive of your computer
    2. In My Computer open your DVD
    3. Left-click and drag the files to your C drive

I think you want to put movie files on your hard disk and view on your PC?
Copying the files as-is from the DVD will give you a bunch of files, but not simple media files.

Maybe you should look at a DVD to AVI tool, as listed at
    https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=30#30

AVI files can be much smaller than DVD files with the same quality.

  8. if you are transferring files from dvd recorder to HD, if it is dvd+r it needs to be finalized to be visible on the computer on dvd+rw its not needed (depends on dvd recorder) 2nd thing if it is visible it would be in form of dvd setup so you would have a VIDEO_TS folder and the video files are in there.
