Not sure if I understand. I assume you have 15 different files, one per episode. And I assume that one of the 15 files can not be renamed. How are they named now? Why renaming?

"Will be unusable" usually means changing the suffix (the ending) of the file, and thus the filetype. But you usually can ignore that and do it anyway. Make sure the file is a valid type though, eg "ep15.avi" if it's an avi file.

In Windows, under "My computer"/ View/ UNselect the box "hide file extensions for known file types". That should make things clearer.

    ptr866,

You can get to it from all your folders: (look on top)
    Tools>Folder Options>View.
It's a check box in "Advanced Settings"

    Good luck on the vid.

Right-click on the file icon. Select "properties". Is "read only" ticked? If so, untick, now try renaming.

Otherwise, post a screenshot of this properties page and more may suggest itself.

When you look at the file name, do you see ep2.avi or just ep2 ? If you don't see the .avi extension then you haven't set your view up correctly as instructed by earlier posts. If you can see the .avi extension, make sure you have that extension on your new file name as well.
