ok i am trying to rip an avi file with dual audio track so i can only have a version with single audio (English). But when i select the second audio track which is listed in autogk as 448kbps 8192 5ch AUTOGK stops the process with the following error
    *************************************
    EXCEPTION: Unsupported audio type.
    *************************************

any ideas what else do i need in order to encode the file with the specific audio track?

    Thanks

448 kbps 5ch would be AC3 - do you have a decoder on your system for AC3 ?

yes i do have AC3 filter installed.

The first audio track is 384kbps AC3 5ch and that one i can decode just fine. Its just not the language that i need to keep. So i guess the second track is the english track.

I don't know why it's choking, but a possible work around would be to use Shrink in reauthor mode to strip the disc down to just the movie and audio track you need, and to write this out with compression set to No Compression. Then process this with AutoGK.

Open the video_ts folder in DVD shrink, let it analise, hot reauthor, drag the main movie to lefthand pane, untick any audio you don't want, tick audio you do want, set compression to No Compression, hit back and write the results to a HDD folder.

For future reference, if you click on the highlighted tool name it will link to the tool reference in the tools section, and there you will also find a list of guides for using that tool.

So... You have an XviD AVI with 2 audio tracks, and want a version with just one audio track?
If so, the right way to do this would be to load it in VirtualDubMod, disable the audio stream you don't want, then just save it out again with Direct Stream for both audio and video. Processing it with AutoGK (if you would get that to work) will reencode the whole thing again, reducing picture quality considerably.
