I am trying to capture some footage from a home VHS tape. The VHS tape is actually a copy of a commercially available DVD (years ago) and in the dubbing process M**********n was removed but I do not think thats the problem.
Anyways, when i connect the video out from the VHS to the video in on my RADEON X850XTPE and use windows movie maker (something simple) i get a good picture yet it seems too bright.
When i plug the video in into the breakout box of my ATI HDTV WONDER, the image appears correct brightness.
It would make sense to capture through the one that works but id rather much capture through the graphics card (Radeon) and also if there is a problem, id like to fix it.
Heres a riddle though... when plugged into the radeon, wehre the problem occures, SOMETIMES it corrects itself. it will shift down brightness a bit for a few frames but then go back. Its NOT a general fade...its instaneous.
Any help would be great.
As you can see from the captures, there is deffinate brightness difference even though the source is the same.
