The manual for the Casio CW-100 thermal transfer printer says you should print the label before burning the CD/DVD because printing may damage the disk. The manual for the Primera Signature Z1 thermal printer does not say anything about printing first. Does anyone know if the CW-100 mechanism is any more likely to damage a disk then the Primera is - or is it only that Casio tries to cover themselves just in case and Primera does not? Has anyone experienced a damaged disk by burning first on either (or any other) printer? I would rather burn first so that, in the event a coaster is created, I won't have wasted a print.
I'd also be interested in any comparison of the two, both hardware and software.
Thanks

I printed to over 500 discs with the Casio after burning and never had a problem with the discs. I never printed before burning, just for the reaon that you mentioned.
