  1. I want to make a DVD playable video by importing 24 .wmv files. Although WinDvd will import and create the DVD, it is not playable in my DVD player. I suspect there are too many chapters because each imported .wmv file creates a new chapter. Since most of these clips are small, I'd like to merge them into one or two chapters but I haven't found any way to do this with WinDVD. Does anyone have any suggestions? TIA

You can have more than 24 chapters to a project or even a single title, so I doubt that is your problem.

What software did oyu use to burn it ?
What media are you using ?
Does it play OK on your computer using WinDVD Player or PowerDVD ?

  3. It is playable using WinDVD in my computer.

I had WinDVD Creator 2 burn the DVD and I had Nero installed so it probably used that to burn it. This is the first time I'm using the software so I wasn't paying a lot of attention to the burn process. WinDVD Creator 2 completed the burn without an error but my Pioneer 220 says the disk is unplayable, no menu or anything.

I'm using Verbatim 16x media that I used in my Pioneer 200 to record off of cable without any problems. I used optimal speed in WinDvd to burn it.

Try outputting the DVD structure to your HDD (video_TS folder and contents) and burning with imgburn2
