    Hi all,

Well, it seems to be a silly question, but I'm a bit confused.

I have a DVD that has been recorded on a stand-alone recorder in 16:9 PAL format, it has no menus.

So, I used DVD Decrypter in IFO mode to retrieve the MPG muxed stream and now I just want to import it onto Maestro or Adobe Encore. As far as I understand, the 16:9 flag is written on the head of the file, OK ?

Is there anything I must do on the authoring sw so it'll properly recognize the file is 16:9 ?

Has DVD decrypter possibly unflagged the header to 4:3 ?

May I write click on the Maestro setting to specify it's a 16:9 or should I just don't care if Maestro is set to 4:3 ?

I have a similar question about PAL to NTSC conversion i'll post at the right forum now,

    Thanks,

    Zetti

You need to author as 16:9 as well as having the video encoded as 16:9. Decrypter will not have changed the aspect ratio flags.

If you are unsure about the aspect ratio flags being set correctly, you can always use restream to alter or set them anyway.
