How do I convert ac3 to mid format???

Hi all, I am trying to save hard disk space by converting ac3 files to mid formats. Is there any tool to directly convert ac3 to mid, rather than ac3->mp3->mid ?? I hope someone can help me. Will save me GB of space.

Neither AC3 to mid nor mp3 to mid is working idea.
It's like a speech recognition application - sounds to characters (in the midi case notes). Simply too complex if the audio is anything more than one instrument playing one note at a time.
midi isn't any kind of compression. It's a different kind of representation: wav/mp3/ac3 is to midi what a voice recording is to a Word document.
