Lip sync problem on ALL VCD's?!?!

Hi all,

I have a problem with playing VCD's on my Acoustic solutions 551 DVD player?
I think the player works well apart from ALL VCD's either made by myself, or by others have lip sync problems?!?

I have tried my home made VCD's in other players and they are fine. I took the player back to the retailers and they gave me the benefit of the doubt and exchanged it for a new one. Problem still exists?!

I thought it would be unlikley that my second player was faulty, but that's the conclusion I have come to. Does anyone else have this problem with this player?
I have tried over 15 VCD's on the player and they all suffer from the same problem.

The player supports DVD, VCD, SVCD, CDR, CDRW, MP3 etc.

sounds like a faulty unit. i bought one of these as a gift and tested it with alsorts (esp- vcd's burnt onto the cheapest cdr's)- no problems and synch was okay.

btw - if you are taking it back, spend the extra and buy a pioneer dvd343 (or 340) the accoustic solutions player is okay for vcd but next to my pioneer it looked pretty poor.
