Hi all,
I am new at this game, and am wondering how to up the volume in an AVI.
Then using TMPGenc and Nero to produce VCD.
I am using DVD2AVI, and the sound track on the resulting AVI is very quiet.
Whilst I appreciate this can not be done in DVD2AVI, has anyone got any recommendations please.
Many thanks in advance

use audio effect filter in advanced in tmpgenc.
If that dont help, export to wav file then import in Sonic Foundry's Stream anywhere and EQ the file then save as an asf file. Use that and encode that to mp2 or mpg audio file

i usually use DeDynamic.exe
you can probably search and find this.
it's a command line tool though, so a typical line would be like so:
C:\Dedynamix.exe -a 6 your_input.wav your_output.wav
where '6' is the increase in decibels i think.
anyhow, this has ALWAYS worked for me, the sound gets a great boost with no clipping (distortion at the high levels).
just make sure you pick 44.1KHz when it asks you.
hope this helps!
Cheers~
