  1. Hi, I've been doing DVD authoring for a while, mainly with the TMPG Dvd Author program but I've just switched to DVD-Lab Pro because it has more functions and capabilities. I've searched around to see if i could find the answer to my problem, but just couldn't find the one I need.

I'm making a Dvd with a menu that also has a chapter selection, 3 pages of chapter. I've render each page so that the mini-screen of the certain chapters are in motion, and total clip time is 10 seconds. Now, I want to throw some background music into it, there is a differnt audio for each page, with each audio ranging from 30 seconds to 50 seconds. My problem is that when the page is through with its 10 seconds of motion menu, it resets along with the music. I tried adjusting the PBC to the exact length of the audio then having it reset the page, but that didn't work. It keeps on reseting after the 10 seconds on menu motion, I thought about just having the menu motion be as long as the audio, but I read in the guide that its max out at 15 seconds. So I think I'm missing something but don't know what.

    Thanks

I believe that if you bring in seperate audio and video (or create video in DLP) then the video length always drives the menu duration. I always do this in Vegas and just bring in the finished video and audio, already timed to run together. Much simpler.

  3. But isn't there a way to set the video with motion menu to be as long as the audio, and just have the video repeat for the time? B/c i really don't want to encode video and audio unless I really have too.

Only when you use the render motion function. You can set a duration here. You have obviously used the default, which is 10 seconds. If you want the motion to match the length of your video, you have to do it here.

Once you have dropped video onto your menu as a motion menu, you are restricted to that length before it cycles, regardless of audio length.
