Excuse the unsophisticated question, but I've always used Verbatim DVD+R and they have a DVD+R stamped on them. I recently saw a deal on a 100 pack of Verbatim 16x DVD-R at Buy.com that was too good to pass up so I ordered. They just arrived and I was expecting a DVD-R stamp on them, but in really tiny type they say DVD-Recordable. Was I mistaken and this is the correct stamp or are they counterfeit?

Some of mine have been stamped with this(silver surface) so I don't think they are counterfeit. What's the media code?

I'm not sure what a 'media code' is. Where do I look for it and what should it look like?

    Thanks

Use IMGBURN and it will show you the Media Code:
These are from the batch I picked up on Friday at Best Buy...
