    Hi
    Are there any converters to convert google video file (gvi) to avi or mpg....
    Are there any freeware ? I did not find any in converter in videohelp.

    ConvertXtoDVD has worked for me. So long as you accept that gvi is pretty low quality, and once resized up to full D1 for DVD can be soft and a bit blocky. I have also been able to load them into virtualdubmod, which identifies them as being Divx. I haven't bother to try to convert them to anything else from here, so I don't know if it can or not.

    Just tried VirtualDub and it works fine (it is a freeware), It does not reconize gvi file format, you have to chose , when you try lo load it - all files , and it loads and than you can save it with any codec that is available in your computer (the gvi is encoded in divx).
