I have the Nvidia GeForce 6100 graphics card and a Viewsonic LCD widescreen monitor. The monitor model number shows right in Nvidia, but it thinks it's a CRT, not an LCD, so I can't get to some features like scaling. Is there something I can do to make Nvidia recognize the monitor as LCD? I tried e-mailing Nvidia, but haven't got any response.

You can also try to see if a Windows driver or profile exists for the monitor on the manufacturer's site. It might help the system figure out what the monitor is supposed to be... I think Windows defaults to seeing monitors as CRTs without additional drivers or profiles, so that might be the problem.

I've got the XP signed driver from Viewsonic's website. I tried new Nvidia drivers that were just released yesterday, they're worse. It still sees it as a CRT, but I don't even have the 1440x900 resolution option. I had to go back to the old drivers to get full resolution.
