I use Panda antivirus and if I open it and try to use one of the links to support or renewals or any link I get '' this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the folder options'' the thing is how do I know what I am looking for, when I go into the folder options there are loads of different extensions how do I find the one I need.
    Thanks

  3. Double-click on "My Computer".
Double click on one of your Hard Drives.
go to "Tools" "Folder Options", "View".

Un-check "Hide extentions for known file types".
    Click "Apply".
    Click "Ok".

If what you are having a problem with is opening a "Program" and not a "File", then your Program is corrupted....

Are you installing a discontinued older version(2005)? Are you installing from a Panda Disc or from a network or home made disc?

The problem might be that when Panda expires it deletes the update link library file and reinstallation will not reinstall this file. I have seen this with other peoples installations. Could be the same for yours. The file extension is .dll but the program is not asking for a file extension. It is telling you it is looking for a file that no longer exists.

After installing 2007 your 2006 will more than likely not work correctly. Is this the sharware trial version? After 30 days this expires and you will get the same message you are receiving if you attempt an uninstall/reinstall to avoid paying for the software.

ROF - Enough of this routinely suspecting and/or accusing people of piracy.

Shareware is not piracy. Using it beyond it's subscription is one of the ways this message can appear. Try it yourself with any piece of shareware to learn about it. I am trying to help while the person who reported this is only stirring trouble AGAIN.

Also reinstalling an older version of your registered anti-virus software after it expires can result in this message the original poster is receiving. Anyone who has tried knows that my questions and assistance here are more than valid. While they may not apply, with the messages being reported it certainly should be asked. Shouldn't it?

OK. This is not a cracked version it is not a trial version it is not shareware.
I bought titanium 2005 then when the renewal was due I upgraded to Titanium 2006 then this month the renewal was due again I upgraded to Titanium 2007. I only noticed the problem this month when I got the reminder that my renewal was due, when I clicked on the renew here button that was when I got the message that the file does not have a program associated with it. I still BOUGHT the 2007 version installed it and out of curiosity I tried the different links to see if installing the new version had repaired anything, but I still get the same message. It does show at the top of the message the web address that it wants to open but it just does not have a program associated with it to open the URL. I have a second computer with Panda Platinum 2005 installed (fully paid for version) and there is no problems with that, so I assume its something that's missing from number 1 computer. Its one of those things that is not a big problem and of course I can live with it but I would just like to see if it can be fixed.
Thanks for your time and trouble.
