Have a problem with a converting a divx, Virtualdub says that the framrate is 25.056. When I frameserve to TMPGenc the sound goes out of sync (even tried to convert it to wav first) although the divx itself plays perfect. Now I think the only solution is to convert the divx itself first into 25 fps and then add the sound but how can I change the fps of a divx without it getting choppy?

Why are you frame serving? Are you adding resize filter, changing frame rate... can you open the divx with TMPGEnc and do a sample? What frame rate are you selecting in TMPGEnc? Maybe a little more info.

just encode in tmpg at fps of 29.97 if your encoding res is 352x240, 480x480 or 704x480
Use 25 fps in tmpg if res is 352x288, 480x576 or 720x576

Well I got out of this mess myself but thx for the help. What I did was strip the sound using virtualdub, then I used the settings direct stream for the video and no audio, let virtualdub output the divx to 25 fps, used that created avi with the sound I stripped and served it with my subs to TMPGenc with a beautifull VCD as result with everything in sync.
