I have lots of standard DV MiniDV tapes recorded with the Sony TRV-950. I recently sold it and replaced it with the Sony HDR-HC3 which claims to be compatible with standard DV MiniDV. If I use the HC3 as a VCR for the TRV950 MiniDV recorded tapes in order to capture them to the PC, will the process be 100%compatible as if transferred from the TRV950? Thanks.

Yes, supposed to be. Don't see any reason why it wouldn't.
