    I have ripped a small clip from a dvd using dvd decrypter. It was saved in an mpeg2 program stream 1vid file. I have tried to convert to avi with virtual dub and it won't recognize the format. Does anyone have an idea of how to convert this format to avi or something I can edit it Vegas?

    What is a 1vid file ?
    Did you try virtualdubmpeg2 or virtualdubmod ? Both of these can read mpeg2 files and output other formats for editing.

    No I haven't, but I was just nosing around in the tools section and found VD Mpeg2 and I am downloading as we speak. I will try and let you know.
