I've been looking around for a way to do this but haven't found one yet. I tried following the instructions from another topic in this forum
yea, if at all possible, your always best to keep the number of conversions to a minimal......as for mov to divx, tmpegenc can do that with the quicktime plugin...just follow the quicktime plugin's instructions and then just open the mov file then go file>output>avi and it will come up with a new window that you can configure your video to divx/xvid/whatever else you want....
but they weren't clear enough for me. I have TMPGenc and the QTreader plugin but within the TMPGenc program there is no choice for "output" under the file menu. There is a "Save As" choice but if avi is selected then there is no other window that comes up with a choice to export it as a divx, it just saves it as an avi. As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated.

TMPGEnc is not really the best tool to save files to Divx. You might try SUPER.
