I have copyed movies from my TV on a CENTRIOS DVD recorder & wish to copy them on the computer. The DVDs I am using are DVD+R. I have tried to use DVD shrink & no files come up. The movies are untitled & usually run an Hr. & a half approx. I can play the movies on Nero but can't re-record them. I could please use some help if I need to get any other program etc . installed. When I play them back on the recorder they play fine.

Confused Thanking you in advance RICKETS

    Have you finalized your DVD?

Many DVD recorders do not write sufficient information for any other device to read the disks until they have been finalized.

DVDShrink will only read a DVD Recorder DVD if it only contains one title. If you stop recording then record another "piece" of video then DVDShrink will not be able to read it....just for future reference.

BUT for a straight copy....the DVDDecrypter method IS the way to go.

Could be you are recording on your DVDR in VR mode, should record in Video Mode. Also, perhaps your Burner is not DVD+R compatable, you could try using a DVD-R.

I have a Pioneer DVDR and use DVD-RW, then use DVDShrink to encode, re-author and shrink if necessary. I then use DVDDecrypter to burn to DVD+R as my burner auto bookmarks the disc to DVD ROM, never have any problems.

I would like to thank you all for the information.
The one that worked for me was using DVD+RW and it works great.

    Thanks again RICKETS
