My understanding is that this movie clip was originally shot in mini-dv format and is of that quality, however I can only get it saved as a Quicktime file.how do I get back to mini-dv?
I need to quickly figure or find out how to get this to an .avi or mini-dv format for futher processing without (or with a minimal of)quality loss.
How do I best convert a Quicktime movie at DV quality to one of the above formats?
Never done it before. This is a immediate 1 time need.
All advice, program reccomendations and suggestions welcome.
Thanks all!
Bruce

Quicktime Pro will convert but upper level editing programs may read it directly.
Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

Thanks,
But is there anything for free or a trial version of something that will work??

#2 and #3 would need to be done at 1x speed. -
First of all, why can you get ONLY as QT movie? Just because it is transferred using iMovie?
If this is the case then right click on the project and click on 'Show package contents'. There will be a folder called as Media, you will find all *.dv files in there. There is NO need to export them as QT files to get them
(If I understood your question correctly)
