I have TMPGEnc 2.0 and have copied and edited a DVD of TV clips which is less than 4.7mb.

How long should it take to build the DVD? When I first clicked Output it came up as 31 hours! I think that this must be wrong. This is the first one I have done on edition 2.0. I had a trial edition previously.

Do all your files comply to spec? If not they must be recalculated.

Expect file size to expand to where you need to start over. Fix it now.

The speed of TMPGEnc depends on your CPU speed, length of your source and your program settings such as output resolution, encoding method (CBR, VBR), motion search precision and filters. Noise filtering increases encoding time dramatically.

Panic Over! I have built the DVD and it took just over 2 hours and about 10 minutes to burn.

Why it says such a long time when it first starts I cannot imagine.
