  1. I have tried everything(listed on the How-to's) to get this great proggy to open an AVI file but it keeps coming up unsupported,,,any one been able to handle AVI w/ Tmpgenc??
    I am looking at getting into VHS to VCD...I'd like to stick with tmpgenc since it's worked so well for me so far...
    Thanks for any help.
    ps> if it will not work what's the next best encoder to do the job? freeware, I mean...

  2. Download and install the Nimo Codec pack (from the download section)
    Under Options/Environmental Settings, select the DirectShow and VFAPI filters and promote them until they are near the top of the list.
