hello all!
I've a mini dv tape which has been recorded on a dv camcorder. i've captured it in dv as an avi file. when i open it up in premiere 6.5 (and also studio8) the counter doesn't match that on teh mini dv camcorder display.
i'ved checked project settings in premiere - it should be 25fps (pal) and both capture and edit settings in premiere are correct.
Could it be because im playing mini dv tape from my mini dv camcorder and not someone elses? or could it be that the visible counter on the camcorder is not the actual timecode?
Can anyone help please??
cheers

Can you be more specific? Is the timecode in Premiere similar to that on the camcorder or does it start at 0:00:00:00 (if at the start of the timeline)?
There's a setting in Premiere (if I remember correctly) to tell the software what the real timecode should be. I'm not at my Premiere computer so cannot tell you right now.John Miller -
