A easy program to start with is ConvertXToDVD. It does most everything itself and does a fair job. There is also an older freeware version, DivxToDVD available. With Xvids, you might want to drop the file into Gspot 2.52 first and check for MP3 VBR audio. ConvertXToDVD can handle it most of the time, but it can sometimes cause audio/video sync problems.

The higher quality/steeper learning curve method is to use the individual encoders and authoring programs. If you want to learn about those, look to 'CONVERT' and 'AUTHOR' to the left. <<<<<<

    And welcome to our forums.

EDIT: Thanks, guns1inger, I corrected XivdToDVD to DivxToDVD. Thinking Xvid too much.

XvidtoDVD = DivxtoDVD if you are searching, although it will also handle Xvid and a number of other formats. ConvertXtoDVD contains many improvements in many areas. If you just need this for a one-off, try DivxtoDVD. If you are going to do this often, consider buying ConvertXtoDVD, or learning how to use an encoder

    im using divxtodvd
i have no problem burning 1 video ts folder. i wanted to put more then 1 file
i wanted to know how i would compile a bunch of avi files into 1 ts folder to burn on a dvd disc, so i could play it on my dvd player.
im using nero to burn the ts folder no problem. but when i put more then 1 ts folder into the compliation it gets rejected.

When you load a file into DivxtoDVD, hold down the shift key and select as many as you like. DivxtoDVD will author these as seperate titles on the one disc. It can usually fit around 3 hours on a disc. It will not join split avis though - these will also be seperate titles.
