I have tried various versions of this program and have never been able to resolve one nagging problem. When I convert a 16:9 avi to dvd it always comes out fullscreen. I set everything to 16:9 but it still comes out fullscreen. I have tried versions 6.3, 7.1 & 7.5 and have never been able to solve the problem. When I play the converted video on the computer it looks fine, proper aspect ratio, but when I burn it and then play it on any of my standalone players it comes out fullscreen. Even the burned disc will play in the proper aspect when played on the computer with Power DVD, but not in the stand alones.
As a rule I use ConvertXtoDVD and never have the problem, but I have an avi that I converted in ConvertX and the audio was really out of sync, so I thought I would give Winavi another try. Well the picture looked great & the sound was right in sync all the way through, but the original was a 16:9 & the burned copy again ended up fullscreen.
    Any ideas?

You could try set the dvd to 16:9 with IfoAR2WS and reburn.

Or try some other all-in-one converter like dvd flick, favc, avi2dvd, etc.

Try some "DIY" method instead of relying to the capabilities (or lack of) in oneclickwonder apps. Plenty of guides on AVI to DVD under CONVERT left.

Baldrick, tried the various programs you suggested and none of them worked. I think it's a corrupted avi. I have not found anything that will work with it., but thanks anyways.
