problems playing mpegs

Still getting this problem, mpeg2 won't run on windows media or winamp but it will on VLC player.
Used codec-sniper to check for broken codesc and only found one problem:

mpeg2data.ax to be broken

I to delete this file but it won't, I also tried to replace it with one I donwloades of the net and it wont.

Is this file really my problem?
If so,
How can I fix it?

Try unregister it, Start->Run and type
regsvr32 -u mpeg2data.ax

you might have to add the folder also like regsvr32 -u c:\foldersads\mpeg2data.ax

Then reeinstall another mpeg2 codec like powerdvd, windvd, NVIDIA PureVideo Decoder or some free like GPL MPEG-1/2 Decoder, Stinkys MPEG2 Codec.
