I captured videos using my WinTV card, in AVI format, it was encoded using DivXR 6.2.2 Codec (1 Logical CPU) for video and MP3 for audio. The file is perfect when I run it in mediaplayer.

I'm trying to use Nero Vision 4 to make a vcd or dvd out of these vids. But when I burn it onto a disc, the video and audio aren't synced. Both are in sync at first but as it keeps playing, the video gets ahead of the audio. So I figured, if I could convert the avi's to something nero vision can burn/play properly then I should be fine. I tried just about every conversion software out there, but whenever I try converting the avi to anything else, no matter what program, the resulting output's video and audio won't sync. I've tried converting to wmv, mpeg, even uncompressed avi... still not in sync.

Any ideas? Is there a program that can split the video and audio to 2 separate files and let me join them and play with the timing? thanks!

Don't capture in divx,mp3 if you are going to convert to vcd or dvd. Use mjpeg or huffyuv video and wav pcm audio instead and you wont lose that much video quality when converting to dvd.

But you could try divxtodvd or convertxtodvd for the divxs you have.
