    i just checked a few dvds that were made professionally, apparantly they all have the audio_ts files in the dvd.... why? theres nothing in them as far as i could see...
    how can i burn the disk so these are both included? does it make a difference?

    ive been having trouble gettin audio to work, is this the reason?

    The Audio_TS folder as added to the DVD spec early on as a lead up to audio only discs. It was never used on DVD Video, and technically isn't even required. Most authoring software creates the empty folder as a matter of course, but it is just that - an empty folder.

    If you are having issues with audio on your DVD video discs, this is not the cause.

    If you look at some more commercial DVDs, particularly ones released in the last few years, you'll see that the majority actually don't have an AUDIO_TS folder. It is indeed useless for DVD video discs.

    However, read this thread for a caveat and an explanation for why there's some confusion over this issue.
