    Hello,

I am using nero 7 to burn an AVI file to DVD. Everything works ok, and the file is encoded, but when the file tries to burn to the DVD it says there is not enough space. I have adjusted the options so that nero should automatically adjust the quality so the file will fit onto the dvd but still it doesnt work. Other files I have burned worked fine.

Does anyone know why this might happen, and how I should rectify the problem?

    Thanks.

As mentioned, there are (IMHO) far better encoders than Nero out there. Convertxtodvd (or its predecessor, divxtodvd) is one of the better "easy-to-use" softwares (read: one-click wonder, few customisable options).

However, a better way might be to provide us with some more information about the AVI file. Try following https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=271697 and we should be able to provide more succinct information.
    If in doubt, Google it.
