I have about 10 hours of video that I captured from the TRV950 using Adobe Premiere Pro 2. For the capture I defined a project with DV-NTSC settings,For editing with IEEE1394 (FireWire/i.LINK) DV equipment,Standard NTSC video (4:3 interlaced),48kHz (16 bit) audio,Drop-Frame Timecode numbering. Yet in one of the video fies Windows is reporting 32Khz instead of 48Khz..why? And how can I check the properties of the video files?

The project settings won't affect the format of the captured DV file. Most likely, the original tape was recorded in 32kHz mode instead of 48kHz. You should be able to tell from the camcorder...turn on the on-screen display and play the tape. The display should show which audio mode was used.Originally Posted by alegatorJohn Miller

I have the Sony HDR-HC3 which is supposed to play DV MiniDV tapes too, should that work?
