I have a video file that came in two parts of a whole. I first tried to merge them with a VirtualDub program, but got an error message that said the audio formats of the two halves were different.
So, I ran each half through Goldwave, saving the audio tracks as .wav files, and, reattached them using TMPGEncoder, which naturally gave me two .m2v files, and, two .wav files (one for each half.) I realize now I should of joined them with the merge feature of TMPG, before runing it through Goldwave, (presuming that TMPG would have allowed this, since presumably, there were two diferent audio formats.)
But now that I have two .m2v, and, two .wav files, (and, two .avi, and, two .wav files) can I still use the merge feature of TMPG to join the two halves?

    Yes, you can.
    1. Launch TMPGEnc. Click File & MPEG Tools...
    2. Select Simple Multiplex. Choose the File Type, Video Source and Audio Source, click Run.
    3. Once you have finish multiplexing all your video clips, select Merge & Cut.
    4. Select all your clips... make they are in proper order, type output file name and click Run.

to (mis?) quote a certain Hawaii-based detective of Chinese ancestry; "Thank you so much."

I thought I it was probably doable; just wasn't sure how.
