I have a PAL avi video file (364 x 284, 25 fps, 44,100 Hz) which I want to convert to a DVD compliant format in CCE, i.e. 720x480, 29.97 fps, 48,000 Hz, using the avisynth script below, and what happens is the audio stream plays too fast. Can anyone help?
avisource("D:\My Movies\test clip.avi")
BicubicResize(720,480)
AssumeFPS(29.97)

The audio plays too fast because you speeded it up by changing the framerate.
Convert it to 720 x 480 as 25 fps, use DGpulldown to add pulldown flags for 29.970 fps playback. Demux the audio and convert to AC3 with ffmpeggui WITHOUT changing the length/speed. Author and test. Everything should play back correctly.Read my blog here.
