Hi. I'm a noob with my DVD burner.

    This is what I had:

    Folder with:

    Video_ts bup
    Video_ts ifo
    Video_ts vob
    Vts_01_0 bup
    Vts_01_0 ifo
    Vts_01_1 vob
    Vts_01_2 vob
    Vts_01_3 vob
    Vts_01_4 vob

I opened Nero Express --> Videos/Pictures --> DVD-Video Files --> Add --> Highlighted all of the above mentioned files --> Clicked Add, Finished, Burn

I put the DVD in my DVD player and it has the menus and everything, but when you play the videos, they have no sound.

What did I do wrong? (I did not add a Video_TS folder to Nero, just the files... is this the problem?)

If you don't have a VIDEO_TS folder, then you don't have a DVD yet. Take a look at 'What is' DVD to the upper left for the DVD file structure. THe AUDIO_TS is optional, but the VIDEO_TS is required. But I wouldn't think you would even see a menu without it.

But try playing one of the VOBS with a software player like VLC and see if there is audio in them. If so, try it again with the VIDEO_TS folder with your VOBS, etc. in it before you burn it. If it's all there including the folder and you still don't have sound in the standalone player, maybe the audio is the wrong format

Load one of the VOBs into the latest GSpot Beta (V2.52 AFAIK) and then follow https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=271697 to upload a screenshot. I'm thinking possibly MP2 audio.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Where did you get those VOBs from? Unknown source? Another DVD?
