  1. I filmed a movie and put it in my computer. I'd like to post it on the internet but it is something like 1GB and I need to compress it to 300MB or 100MB, can anyone help me with doing that?

Is it DV avi (i.e. from a mini-DV camera) ?

If so, the simplest method if to open it in Windows Movie Maker and save it out as wmv at 300kbps and see how it looks.

Drop the original into Gspot 2.52 and check the audio and video format. It may be an audio format that WMM doesn't like. Another option for the Web is MPEG-1. TMPEGEnc encoder can do that for free.

You can use AutoGK and make divx or xvid. Set the output size and convert.

But for the web is probably wmv better, tmpgenc xpress and convert directly to wmv from the dvd. Or Virtualdubmpeg2 and convert to avi with wmv vcm. Or convert to divx with autogk and then to wmv with wmm or wme. Or convert to divx and post on google and they will convert to flash.
