I have a slew of clips that i want to put on DVD. They're small files 320x240 mpegs and avis mostly. the quality of most are crappy, but watchable. When I drag them onto toast the total time is about 14hrs and would not fit on one DVD. Is there a way to "force" the 14 hours onto one disc? I'm not looking for great quality, the clips are only barely watchable as is.

If you keep your converted files within VCD resolution, the you should be able to put 7+ hours (914 kbps) on a single DVD-R. Maybe 14 hours is doable with a dual layer disc.

thanks Case, but how do I achieve this? the 914 kbs? with ffmpegx? and wouldn't toast reencode the files to a higher bitrate? I'm not too versed with the technicalities so forgive me.

Not if you set it to 'reencode never'.
