    Friend wants me to put his super 8 stuff on DVDs.
    How to get super8 into computer ???

    Searches here end up with.......
    1 - No good way to get the super 8 into the computer
    or
    2 - Send super 8 to pro shop, if you can find an honest one..but expensive

    Threads were a few years old...anything new come up to do this ??

    Sounds pretty much right. There are a few who have tried either projecting and recording using a DV camera or similar methods, but best results are still from paying for a professional transfer.
