Sometimes it is necessary to capture video over a LAN. Pinnacle Studio normally won't allow this.
When network drive is selected it "tests" drive speed and returns write speed of 0 kb/s. It happens even over a gigabit LAN.
Here is a little workaround. Pinnacle can be easely tricked.
Open Computer Management->Disk Management and change local drive letter to one you will use as a network drive letter. Capture few seconds on it, exit Pinnacle and change the local drive letter back. Now map network drive and assign this letter. Pinnacle will not test it anymore and will allow to capture over a network.
If the local drive has a paging file boot once without a paging file make changes and set paging file back. XP even will not ask to restart this time.
