No it was not. I saw the post right after you made it. Stop with the conspiracy.
You're also the same person that rants about how evil it is to backup your own DVDs, then you give tips on using DVD Shrink 3 posts later. So don't feed us the "moral high ground" crap.![]()

DVD shrink can be used for much more than backing up copyrighted material. I don't believe DVD shrink is even capable of removing most copy protections. That would require other software. But this isn't about that. It is about a moderator here being dishonest and changing them.
BTW, if you saw those links immediately after I posted why did it take almost 6 hours for another moderator and not you to remove them? Simply put, they were changed in the interim by someone who has permissions to do so.
THE INTEGRITY OF THIS SITE IS UNDER ATTACK. NO CONSPIRACY. IT IS TRUTH!

ROF, I have not been a moderator in almost a year now. No time for it, though I try to help out on the site when I can, mostly by replying to posts. And reporting posts for warez is just not my thing, it never was. I only did that when I moderated, it was part of the job.

Yeah, i saw it right after it was posted also...
I was sitting here half the day bored surfing through just the threads on the front page and everytime one moved up i checked it to see what was being posted and going on.
I just did not dig into the site, just clicked the links, looked at the one page and closed them.
damn it!!!
I can't find it anywhere!! I think those damn aliens stole that magic bullet!!!!!!!

For those of you saying that you checked the links and they weren't warez sites, are you sure you clicked on the links? The second link was the actual warez site.
Another thing is that the warez site doesn't look like your typical warez site: black background, infinite popups, need to install software to download, etc. (I've done my homework) I would actually class the site as pure piracy, since they actually sell the warez they obtain. It looks somewhat professional, so it may be deceiving to someone who did a quick click through. On the site itself, they have the iron-clad cajones to state bluntly that they are a warez seller, right in their FAQ.

I didn't actually take a look at the second link when I replied to the post originally, so I can't comment on what it was originally or if it has changed or not. I just looked at the first link.
This matter is under investigation, and I'm sure it will be resolved.

A while later (after I had read some of the replies about linking to a warez site) it pointed to a site that gave me a "no such domain" error. It was a warez site by name, maybe the same as the link that's there now.
I don't know if softwareoutlet.com was the original post but I believe I read the post (and followed the link) very shortly after it was posted. There were only about 5 posts in the tread at that time.

Maybe this will clear up the confusion:
The links, as they are now, have been changed. BJ_M changed them instead of removing them completely. The "warerz" and "warezt" parts were put in to defeat the link, since they don't actually go to a warez site. I've seen this done many times, often with something like "Iamaspammer.com" or similar.
My guess is that, like the people who checked one link and assumed both were legit, BJ_M checked the bad link and invalidated both links (again, my guess).
Again, the links as they are now have been changed from their original destination. One of the links (of the two links posted) originally linked to a warez/piracy site that sells warez.
The links were changed to prevent people from reaching that site as a "recommendation" from this site.
When I first read this thread, there were only two posts until I hit refresh. I was interested in what people had to say about Nero, as Faustus pretty much summed up how I feel.

it is what Supreme2k says .....
btw -- ahead software says OEM copies do not always contain drivers for all drives .. plus must be sold with a system as supplied ..."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650)

Public remonstrations and accusations are counterproductive and may lead to an immediate ban for disruption.
