  1. Hi

I am creating a dvd and the mpg2 that i am using is well in sync when i'm watching it with windows media plyer classic. I am creating my dvd with ulead dvd movie factory using this mpg2 file and after the dvd is done the audio is out of sync. I did not check the box that says normalize the audio ...

Can someone tell me why this is hapenning since the creation of the dvd is not een supose to change the video file ... And what can I do to keep the audio in synd after the creation of the dvd. ( I have been doing about 75 dvd using this software and it is the first time I see this happening)

    thanx

Try saving the audio as .WAV first, then convert that to .AC3.

Is your mpeg2 file actually DVD compliant ?
Use g-spot to find out the details regarding your mpeg2 file - video and audio - then compare these to What is DVD (top left corner of this site). If your file does not match the allowable resolutions, framerates etc for DVD, then there is a good chance Ulead is re-encoding. This may be where your problems start.

If you can confirm this, or post a screenshot from g-spot, we might be able to help you further.

  6. I have 2 avi file which are xvid mpg4 files
I convert them using tmpgenc to mpg2 DVD compliant
I join the 2 files using the mpg tools of mpgenc
which make a big mpg file dvd compliant
this big mpg file is in sync if I watch the video in window media classic
after that I take this big mpg-2 file and I create my dvd with menu and chapter usint ulead dvd movie factory
When the dvd is done I watch it on a stand alone player and the audio is now out of sync.

Do you need a gspot screen shoot of the mpg2 file or the original avi ?
