hi, i have been using SUPER to convert my .avi files etc. to
.vob dvd complaint format for a long time now and today i converted a bunch of .avi file just like always and then i loaded them up into the dvd maker program(dvd workshop) and dvd workshop started converting them which it should'nt since they are .vob files already, so i looked at the files properties and it was in PAL format instead of NTSC, so i know why dvd workshop was converting it i just don't know why all of a sudden SUPER is converting the files in PAL format, my settings for SUPER are:

    Output Container: vob dvd complaint
    Output Codec: Mpeg 2
    Audio Codec: AC3
    Video Scale:Size: 704x576
    Aspect: 4:3
    Bitrate kbps: 5760
    Options: Hi quality
    Sampling frequency: 48000
    Channels: 2
    Bitratekbps: 384
    Dvd language select; default

I always use the above setting and i havent added anythiong else to the computer in months software etc. I have the latest version of SUPER v.2006 build 19.

Any Help is welcomed , it's just so strange i donot see any visible way to change from NTSC to Pal format in the program at all. and why in the world is SUPER converting files to PAL format all of a sudden.......................................

I see everything listed there except the framerate. 704 X 576 is a PAL framesize. When I put a PAL (25fps) in SUPER, it gives me the choices of 23.98, 29.97, 25 and 30 fps. And also both PAL and NTSC frame sizes, or 'Video Scale Size' as it calls them.

You might want to check your framerate and framesize before encoding. There's a problem there somewhere.
