    Is there a way to just burn mpegs or avi files on to a DVD-R and play them on a dvd player?

    Many divx dvd players supports mpg,avi(divx,xvid) files on dvds/cds.

    But if you want it to work most players must you convert to vcd or dvd. = ConvertXtoDVD .
