    Hi, It seem there's no guide in here that show me on how 2 convert avi file to ASF format pls? If anyone knows pls advise, many thx.

    Hi, many thx for your reply. I've installed WMEncoder and tried the wizard mode as suggested but the output ofrmat is given as wmv? Is this the same as ASF video format?

    WMV and WMA are the successor formats to ASF (which could be video, or audio-only). I think the WMV/WMA format is just a slight update to the ASF format, but I don't know for sure. You may (I don't know this for sure, either) not be able to use Microsoft's latest Windows Media codecs with ASF, either.

    At any rate, it's probably a better idea to go with WMV over ASF, depending on what you plan to do with the resulting video.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
