  1. When I use avi2mpeg2 bbmpeg to mux and cut an mpeg2 file, the audio gets very often out of sync and the second cd often gets no audio. However when I use Tmpeg for the same file, everything seems ok (but tmeg is soooooo slow). Do I have a bad program (bbmpeg) or is this normal?
    Who knows something better?

  2. All I can tell you is that I've cut over 200 movies with BBMpeg (the b17/b18 versions) and never had a sync issue (in fact, it's the only MPeg2 program I've found that will cut an MPeg2 created by CCE or TMPGEnc that doesn't have any sync issues at all).

The only thing I can think of is a pulldown mismatch? How did you get your audio and video. If you did something to IVTC it (like Force FILM in DVD2AVI), then you need to make sure the pulldown bits get added before muxing it or you'll be muxing a 24 fps video with 30 fps audio (of course, if you're PAL, then this is all moot)....
