Hi,
Since i replaced my Samsung 172x LCD (17") with a 20" Acer Widescreen LCD i began to see some thing on the screen that i hadn't noticed before, here's an example from the Samsung HD Demo....

It's seems to occur only when there's rapid movement or quick panning by the camera
This also can be seen when watching DVB in either SD or HD, here's a screen cap...

So the big question is...is there something wrong with my setup or is it something to do with the videos/DTB and i just have to live with it ?
Thanks for any input![]()

It's normal for rapid movements and water especially. The blockiness has nothing to do with the monitor...you may just notice it better with a bigger monitor.
Are you using same player, graphic card as before? -
Yep, all the same hardware as before. My first thought was the monitor but i hooked my 17" LCD again and the pixelation was there, just harder to see. I also tried 17" CRT that i have and it was visable with that as well if i looked close enough. Like you say with the bigger screen these thing are just more noticable. Why would the pixelation occur with some videos and not others?. I tried a couple of Quicktime HD Trailers like Spiderman 3 HD, Madagascar HD , Elephant's Dream HD (DivX) and they all played fine, especially the Quicktime ones although there was no water scenes in any of these vids but plenty of rapid movement/action, also DVD's seem to play fine as well. One more thing, would this be less noticable on a LCD TV ? not that i'm thinking of changing, just curious.Originally Posted by Baldrick
