I won’t bore you with all the other problems I’ve had so far – I’m now at this stage.

I've made 'shows' in Moviemaker2 using pics and movie clips. Added credits and titles and THEN saved this in a number of different formats to see the difference in quality and file size.

Then using Sonic MyDVD5 I've added my 'shows' and burnt a DVD.

Problem No. 1 is the player in the loungeroom doesn't recognise the DVD. No problem - I know that happens sometimes although bloody annoying!

    Problem No. 2
It plays on another player we have in the bedroom, but what a mess! When I made the shows in Moviemaker I set the pics to be on screen for 5 seconds or more each. The DVD however, races through the show flicking through the pics at about 2 per second. e.g. one of my shows includes 3 full length songs as the audio to the show and the show is over before the first song has finished!!!

This practice DVD includes 3 shows and it does it to all of them.

I've spent hours practicing and experimenting on this, as well as reading and hanging out at help sites. I'm at screaming point now and can't concentrate on reading anymore. I need hand holding now while I'm taken gently through steps THAT WILL WORK.

I've got Moviemaker2, MySonicDVD5, Roxio Easy Media Creator, Motion DV Studio, TMPGenc, Windows Media Encoder, Photostory 3 and a partridge in a pear tree!

Can you tell me the best programmes to use and the best way to go about creating a success!
I've got a full season of soccer games I'm supposed to make into a DVD. I also wonder if I'm going to have a big enough HD to do this. 1 x 60 min tape (4 soccer games in avi format) used 12Gb and I've got 2.5 x 60 mins tapes of soccer games that I was hoping to put onto one DVD. I can't see how I'm going to get all the games and the file that a show or DVD creates on my HD as I only have 15Gb left! Please help me!

    Thanks
    Olly

Last time I did a slide show, I made it with MovieMaker. After several crashes and lockups, I finally managed to get it like I wanted, and saved as DV AVI.
This AVI, I encoded to DVD specs MPG (8000 kbps) and finally authored with TMPGEnc DVD Author. Not a glitch (besides WMMs frequent crashes).
