Tried two things with WMV3:
(1) Imported a 24.684 fps WMV into VDUB (w/AVS) and VDUB tells me (File Information) it's 30 fps but the length is the same as original file (24 min. 20 sec). I encoded with XviD and part of audio was in-synch and part was out-of-synch. (I muxed audio and video after encode. Audio was 24:20, as well).
(2) Imported 24.684 fps into VDUB twice (w/AVS), first with Assume fps(24.684) then Convertfps(24.684) and for both VDUB tells me the length is 29 min. 35 sec. I encoded both anyway and the audio was out-of-synch after I muxed audio and video.
How do I get it in synch? Could the WMV be a variable framerate? (I found the framerate w/AVIcodec)
