hi everyone, im in aust and these items are very expensive here and i wanted to know if anyone in this forum can point me in the right direction as far as supplying mw with a few of the better known stores in usa to buy from, and maybe links to them, and some of the cheapest deals on these items.
here in aust we pay $450au (approx $350us) for the advc-110
we pay $850au (approx $550us) for the advc-300
we pay about $2500au (approx $1900us) for the advc-500
i understand postage and warranty needs to be concidered, just looking at some options thats all.
any thoughts appreciated (btw im doing this for a friend)

B&H does have the ADVC-300. I would provide a direct link, but I'm too lazy, just like you! Is it too hard to do a search on the website? Geez, lately nothing but lazy people around here that want someone to do the work for them!Originally Posted by glenpinn

Type in B&H search: "ADVC-300" or "Canopus ADVC-300". Both give results. What is so hard about that?

Just type ADVC and it will list them all. They have the TBC's there too.

B&H is so ******* retarded when it comes to TBCs. A Canopus DV device is not the same as a TBC. I wish they'd quit with that stupid crap. It confuses people, and it's wrong.Originally Posted by thecoalmanWant my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Is there any other place to source Canopus ADVC 300 and DataVideo TBC1000 apart from B&H above?
Please let me know.
I am situated in Australia and the cost of these equipment are very very high. -
Devils advocate time, why is the advc required, gotta tell you, wasn;t worth the C$650 I paid for it,but my source material is good at worst
Just got a ad pyro a/v link and its seems just as good if not easier to use than the advc.
Justtrying to be helpful, have you thought of getting your stuff shipped to a usa friend and then get them to ship to you?PAL/NTSC problem solver.

I was referring to the datavideo TBC (which you would have to search for seperately) :POriginally Posted by lordsmurf

Canopus 300 is recommended to me to do my work of archiving many SVHS-C tapes.Originally Posted by victoriabears

Found three sellers on eBay.

The first two sellers have high number of sales and good feedback. Both items are "buy it now" typel of sales. Third item is for auction.
Which seller would you feel more comfortable to go with?
Thanks. -
The Canopus DV boxes do very little, and are extremely overpriced. For $500 USD ($800AUD), you buy a lot better equipment.

Source is many cassette of SVHS-C tapes. Going to digitalise them into DV avi and then compress to mpeg2 prior to burning them onto DVD-R.Originally Posted by lordsmurf
