    So is there any way to get around the message at installation that says I can't use Encore becuse my processor doesn't support SSE2 ?

    Why would they make software that way? My cpu isn't great or anything but it can still run programs, it's an AMD 1800+ I was looking forward to learning Encore.

    Does the motherboard accept an upgradable CPU, or is that part of the chipset??

    I don't know.. I know the motherboard can take a better chip, but if I were to go that far, I'd just put together a better system anyways... I was hoping there might be some special "hack" or way to trick Encore DVD into thinking my CPU had the right feature supported.
